Glitter Doughnut was a sculpture collaboration with artist, Christopher Duffy. We made a 30 ft inflatable donut for a large-scale installation show at Frontroom Gallery Cleveland.
The skin of the donut was made entirely out of clear plastic tarps and packing tape. The inside of the donut was filled with roughly 30 lbs of confetti and glitter. A ring of box fans zip tied together kept the confetti and glitter afloat. The results were pure joy. Everyone playing inside the donut was covered with glitter and happiness, and it stuck with them for days, at least the glitter did.
