Winty Furniture
Winty Furniture was constructed by our Winty Team of artists, fabricators, and painters (Thu Tran, Taylor Dell, Christopher Duffy, Peter Van Hyning, Matt Fitzpatrick, Daniel Baxter, Lauren Gregory, Sandra Chi).
For this project, we worked intuitively and organically, first by drawing the silliest, absurdest doodles of what we imagined could be functional furniture, and then fabricating it in a 4 day frenzy out of cheap lumber, cardboard, paper tape, hot glue, and staples. We made functional chairs, benches, couches, beds, rugs, stools, coffee tables, end tables, toilet, turning the gallery space into a big trippy living room.
Our Winty Furniture was exhibited at The Showpaper 42nd Street Gallery in NYC, along side the work of Babycastles, Paul Koneazny and Brian Dunn.
